State university to establish knowledge, innovation, science technology park

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Isabela State University (ISU), a government-run institution in Northern Philippines, is establishing a knowledge, innovation and science technology (KIST) park.
The university announced that they are currently working on the project’s long-term masterplan.
The KIST park is set to be located in different campuses, namely: ISU Echague Main Campus, ISU Roxas Campus, ISU Ilagan Campus and ISU Cabagan Campus.
According to ISU, KIST Park will also be an ecozone. The university is closely working with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) for this project.
As the flagship project of PEZA, the innovation park aims to establish sustainable economic zones for the thriving of business and commercial sectors anchored on the concept of rural development among communities.
