WINDHOF, LUXEMBOURG — Sword Group has announced the acquisition of Edinburgh-based iDelta Ltd, a specialist in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and observability solutions, for an undisclosed amount.

The merger aims to deepen Sword Group’s capabilities across financial services and expand its footprint in the United Kingdom tech sector.

The acquisition, effective April 1, 2025, marks a key milestone in Sword’s strategic cybersecurity roadmap and its Vision 2028 digital transformation plan.

Boosting AI and cyber capabilities

iDelta is a boutique consultancy focused on delivering bespoke data and AI solutions, cybersecurity monitoring, infrastructure and application observability, fraud analytics, and Open Banking data tools.

Its offerings include proprietary add-ons for the Splunk marketplace, enabling seamless API integrations and enhanced data accessibility for clients.

With annual revenues of €0.75 million ($853,000) and a 30% EBITDA margin, iDelta brings a niche but powerful set of tools to Sword’s expanding portfolio.

“We are thrilled to be joining Sword, a company who share our commitment to innovation and excellence,” said Stuart Robertson of iDelta.

“Combing our strengths across partnerships, with a focus on Splunk and Cisco, will continue to develop and expand our capabilities and provide further opportunities for our team as part of Sword.”

Sword expands UK operations

Sword, a global IT and digital transformation firm, employs over 3,200 specialists across more than 50 countries. In the UK, the company provides business technology solutions to clients in the energy, public, commercial, and financial sectors, with over 600 employees across Aberdeen, Glasgow, Teesside, and London.

“This acquisition reaffirms Sword’s commitment to enhance our cybersecurity and AI capabilities, particularly in financial services,” said Kevin Moreton, CEO of Sword UK.

“We are genuinely excited about the opportunity the skills and expertise iDelta’s team of specialists will bring to Sword and how this collaboration will drive significant growth and innovation for our combined business.”

Starting this quarter, Sword will fully integrate iDelta into its operations and financial reporting. The next key milestones on Sword Group’s calendar include the Q1 revenue report on April 24 and the annual general meeting on April 28.
