TaskUs showcase initiatives for women employees

In celebration of International Women’s Day, outsourcing company TaskUs Philippines discussed the role of women in the workplace and the initiatives that they have launched to help them at work.
According to TaskUs Vice President of Integrated Marketing Division Victoria Alcachupas, the company “have inculcated a culture of inclusivity and belongingness to our people.”
She added that TaskUs prioritize “talent and skills, and not on gender identity or sexual orientation, race, background, religion, or any other societal segmentations. We believe that the more diverse the workforce is, the better.”
Citing a LinkedIn report, Director of Wellness and Resiliency Vina Paglicawan shared that mothers are having difficulty balancing their roles as professionals and mothers.
This and the lack of flexible work arrangements and access to career-making roles as men, as well as unequal pay and vulnerability to sexual harassment prevents women from “moving up the corporate ladder.”
To address these concerns, TaskUs’ has a dedicated wellness and resiliency team that support employees in any feelings of distress, anxiety, or burnout at work.
The company also provides equal conditions and benefits for all employees across all job levels and pays for 15 days of additional maternity leaves on top of the government-mandated benefits.
TaskUs also have several active employee resource groups that serve as the voice for the groups they represent and provide counsel and recommendations in policy-making and benefits.
