TCS to undergo C-suite reshuffle — sources

MUMBAI, INDIA — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is reportedly undergoing a significant reorganization of its senior leadership team.
The India-based IT giant has been mum on the matter. However, sources say that the restructuring move involves the chief technology officer (CTO) and chief operating officer (COO) roles.
According to sources, Harrick Mayank Vin, the current Chief Services Innovation Officer, is expected to succeed K Ananth Krishnan as (CTO) when he retires in October.
Meanwhile, Krishnan Ramanujam, president of the enterprise growth business, is considered a strong pick for the (COO) role. Current COO N Ganapathy Subramaniam, a long-time TCS leader, is retiring in May 2024.
Other potential candidates for the COO position include Debashis Ghosh and Susheel Vasudevan. Ghosh leads the business transformation group, while Vasudevan heads the relationship incubation group, sources said.
In addition, TCS is also set to appoint a new leader for its biggest vertical — banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI). It is assessing at least four candidates to take over the position vacated by K Krithivasan, who has been appointed as CEO-designate.
TCS is a multinational information technology service provider and consultancy company headquartered in Mumbai, India. Its industry expertise helped the firm secure the 51st spot in the Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
