MUMBAI, INDIA — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has broadened its alliance with digital print technology provider Xerox to revolutionize its IT infrastructure using cloud technology and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

This partnership aims to accelerate Xerox’s evolution into a simplified, services-led, software-enabled organization.

Accelerating Xerox’s digital evolution

TCS, a global IT services, consulting, and business solutions organization, will leverage its expertise to consolidate Xerox’s technology services, migrate legacy data centers to the Azure public cloud, and implement a cloud-based Digital ERP platform.

“This digital transformation initiative is an important enabler for reinventing our operating model to simplify our geographical, offering, and operational footprint while transforming our clients’ experience,” said Tino Lancellotti, Chief Information Officer at Xerox.

“We believe TCS is the right partner to deliver such a complex program given their proven experience both within Xerox and across the industry.”

TCS’s innovative approach to digital transformation

TCS will develop a new agile, cloud-first operating model for Xerox, utilizing its advanced service practices such as AI.Cloud, Enterprise Solutions, and Cognitive Business Operations.

The IT giant will also construct an AI-first enterprise platform, combining its capabilities with expertise from industry partners, including leading hyperscalers and AI solution providers.

V Rajanna, President of Technology, Software and Services at TCS, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two companies, saying, “Xerox and TCS have been on a collaboration and co-innovation journey for over two decades, which has grown from strength to strength transforming business functions from finance to HR along the way.”

This partnership not only showcases TCS’s strong presence in the U.S. market, where it employs nearly 50,000 associates across 19 delivery centers, but also reinforces its position as a preferred partner for digital transformation across various industries.

TCS ranked #45 on the OA500 2024, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms. The latest index places the company five places higher than last year when it ranked 50th. It generated revenues of $29 billion in fiscal year 2024.
