Tech Mahindra expands into Latvia with new BPS center

RIGA, LATVIA — IT services firm Tech Mahindra has announced the expansion of its business process services (BPS) division into the Baltic states with a new center in Riga, Latvia.
This strategic move aims to strengthen the company’s presence in Europe and provide local and regional clients with direct access to its comprehensive range of services.
The center was inaugurated by Tanmaya Lal, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Latvia & Sweden, Jurģis Miezainis, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Economics, Republic of Latvia, and Vilnis Ķirsis, Mayor of Riga.
Tech Mahindra’s Baltic, European expansion
The new center, located in the cutting-edge Jaunā Teika complex, will serve local and regional customers with a comprehensive range of services. These services include 5G, metaverse, blockchain, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI).
The facility is expected to employ approximately 500 professionals, adding to Tech Mahindra’s global workforce of over 145,000 employees across 90+ countries.
Birendra Sen, Business Head of Business Process Services at Tech Mahindra, emphasized the significance of this expansion, stating, “Latvia’s thriving tech ecosystem, skilled workforce, robust IT infrastructure, and favorable government policies make it an ideal hub for accessing European markets.”
“This expansion highlights our commitment to regional growth and technological advancements in Europe, further empowering our customers to scale at speed and adapt their businesses like never before,” he added.

Tech Mahindra’s commitment to sustainability
Tech Mahindra’s new office in Jaunā Teika showcases the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability.
The facility has earned BREEAM certification, a globally recognized program for sustainable building design. It features the largest electric car charging station in the Baltics, extensive multi-story parking, and adaptable office layouts to meet diverse occupant needs.
