Telecontact opens Uzbekistan branch to boost Central Asia BPO exports

MOSCOW CITY, RUSSIA — Russian outsourcing firm Telecontact has opened a new branch in Fergana, Uzbekistan, as part of its regional expansion and push to grow its export services.
The expansion marks an investment in Uzbekistan’s growing IT sector, with over 4.3 billion Uzbek soms (approximately $370,000) in foreign capital injected into the project.
The first development phase has already generated more than 50 high-paying jobs, with plans to scale significantly by the end of 2025.
Expanding IT services in Central Asia
The launch was welcomed by Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, who visited the new facility to observe operations. The initiative supports Uzbekistan’s national drive to modernize its IT infrastructure and workforce, backed by generous tax and customs incentives for IT park residents.
According to the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Fergana’s IT park now hosts 110 companies, 30 of which are focused on export markets. These firms are helping to build local talent pipelines and increase high-skilled employment in the region.
