Teleperformance PH joins Earth Hour 2023 celebrations

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider Teleperformance Philippines recently joined the worldwide celebration of Earth Hour 2023.
The company switched off all lights in its 23 offices for one hour as part of its Citizen of the Planet (COTP) climate action program. The firm saved 2,004.04 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, equivalent to powering ten homes for an entire month.
Teleperformance Philippines CEO Francisco Lara shared the company’s commitment to climate action, adding that they are deeply committed to contributing to the enormous climate actions necessary to reach a net-zero world.
Lara also revealed that the company aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.
Teleperformance Philippines made significant efforts to reduce its energy consumption. In 2022, the company conserved 25,565.43 kWh of electricity after transforming the annual Earth Hour activity into a monthly event.
It also partnered with the non-profit organization One Tree Planted to support reforestation efforts in the Philippines. Moreover, Teleperformance Philippines recently signed a partnership with electric services company AboitizPower to power its Bacolod and Sucat sites, making it one of the first BPO firms in the country to switch to renewable energy.
