Telus PH employees volunteer to gift Brigada Eskwela kits

About 500 employees of tech firm Telus International Philippines donated more than 1,000 hours to pack Brigada Eskwela kits for 12,500 students in public elementary schools.
Telus worked with the Department of Education (DepEd) in their Brigada Eskwela program’s “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan,” to distribute over 20,000 learning and hygiene kits to 17 schools across Metro Manila and Iloilo.
Since 2014, Telus’ Days of Giving initiatives have supported DepEd’s program and recorded about 49,875 student beneficiaries in 20 schools. More than 14,800 Telus team members have collectively donated 69,800 hours to the success of the project.
Each learning kit came with DepEd-recommended school supplies such as notebooks, pad papers, ball pens, crayons, a ruler, a sharpener, and glue. Hygiene kits were also included in the package.
In addition, beneficiary schools were given bond paper supplies to help with the printing of modules that are used by students who are studying remotely.
