TMF Group acquires Japanese firm, expands APAC footprint

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS — Amsterdam-based TMF Group, a compliance and administrative services provider, has announced its acquisition of Japan Outsourcing Solutions KK (JOS), marking another expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cloud technology and local expertise
JOS brings to the table its expertise in cloud-based accounting, payroll services, and business setup solutions.
“This deal represents a significant milestone for our business in Japan and APAC. It supports our business growth in the region and allows us to provide more comprehensive service to our new and existing clients,” said Maggie Chan, TMF Group’s Market Head of North Asia.
The merger promises new opportunities for both organizations. JOS’s Chief Operating Officer, Rainyl Ng, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “Their global footprint will enable us to expand our reach, enhance our capabilities and create even greater opportunities for our clients and employees. This deal also ensures our team will benefit from expanded career paths and enriched learning and development opportunities.”
Strategic growth in Asia
The acquisition of Tokyo-based JOS, which has served over 200 clients since 2008, strengthens TMF Group’s position in the Japanese market. This move follows TMF’s recent acquisitions of Vasco Trustees in Australia, Seamless Global in India, and Nexia STT in Vietnam.
TMF Group, which employs over 11,000 professionals across 125 offices in 87 jurisdictions, provides comprehensive services, including employee administration, financial services, and legal administration. The company, with an annual revenue of $705.7 million, has a global reach that covers 92% of world GDP and 95% of FDI inflow.
