LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — TOPPAN Digital Language (TDL) has acquired MEINRAD, an Austrian language services provider (LSP), expanding its presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
This acquisition marks TDL’s third since 2021 and aligns with the company’s focus on regulated and high-risk content localization. Terms of the deal remain confidential.
MEINRAD: A language services provider
Founded in 1993, MEINRAD has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality language services and technology-enabled solutions.
The company offers a range of outsourcing services, including document translation, marketing, website, and software localization. MEINRAD leverages advanced tools and technologies to optimize these processes, providing efficient and accurate multilingual communication.
The acquisition brings MEINRAD’s experienced team, led by Meinrad Reiterer, under the TDL umbrella.
“Joining forces with TOPPAN Digital Language is a fantastic opportunity to expand our reach while maintaining our shared commitment to excellence,” said Reiterer.
“It will enable both companies to better serve our clients with leading-edge technology and expertise while drawing from our rich customer-centered culture.”
TDL’s growth strategy and future plans
Alexandra Jarvis, Chief Strategy Officer of TOPPAN Digital Language, revealed that the company achieved 36% organic growth in 2023 and expects similar levels in 2024.
“From our first meeting with the Meinrad team, we knew that our cultures of customer service and innovation were aligned,” Jarvis said.
“We look forward to working with Meinrad’s excellent roster of clients and building on the strong foundations built by the team so far.”
As part of the acquisition, MEINRAD will gain access to TDL’s global operating platform and benefit from investments in technology. In the future, MEINRAD is expected to start trading under the TOPPAN Digital Language name.
Headquartered in London, TDL operates across the USA, Europe, and Asia. It is a subsidiary of TOPPAN Next (headquartered in Singapore), which is ultimately owned by TOPPAN Holdings Inc., a Japanese public company traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with 55,000 employees worldwide.
