Transcom to offer P40K signing bonus for new recruits

Swedish-owned Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm Transcom is boosting its recruitment process by offering a P40,000 (US$681) signing bonus to its new hires in Bacolod, Philippines.
Transcom Director for Sourcing and Leadership Hiring Melvin Peralta explained that aside from signing bonuses, new employees could also receive free meals during training and rewards for not being late and perfect attendance.
This move comes as the firm formally opens a recruitment hub on the city’s job seeker-friendly 21st Lacson Street.
Transcom Senior VP for Human Resources Caroline Co said that this strategy will help them “expand aggressively” in Bacolod and gain access to a vast pool of “amazing [BPO] talents and skills.”
Bacolod, earning the moniker The City of Smiles, played a crucial role in Transcom’s continuous expansion in the Philippines.
Transcom CEO for the Global English Region Mark Lyndsell said that it is home to “about a third” of their entire Philippine employee population and is where they are serving important clients and brands.
The firm is looking to hire over 1,000 to 1,500 customer service and tech support representatives for one of the biggest global media and tech companies in the United States for Q4.
The opportunities are open to all applicants, including non-college graduates and those without call center experience.
