transcosmos expands one of its Japanese centers

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm transcosmos inc. is looking to expand its center in Sasebo, Japan to accommodate its growing business and employ 100 new members.
Established in 2019, transcosmos’ BPO Center Sasebo focuses on highly specialized corporate back-office services, including accounting and HR business operations.
Given the rising demand for BPO services around the world, transcosmos said that they would add around 440 square meters (sq.m.) of space in their Sasebo office.
Commenting on the expansion, Nagasaki Prefecture Governor Kengo Oishi called the decision “encouraging news” as it would attract young people to work and stay in the area and help Nagasaki’s declining population.
Meanwhile, Sasebo City Mayor Norio Tomonaga praised transcosmos’ initiative to hire persons with disabilities, as well as offer flexible working hour arrangements and contracts to its workforce.
“…Sasebo city, Nagasaki prefecture, Nagasaki industrial promotion foundation, and HelloWork Sasebo will work together and carry out job fairs and other activities to assist transcosmos in expanding its business efficiently.” the mayor added.
