Ubiquity to acquire Shaip, expanding global AI data services

NEW YORK and KENTUCKY, UNITED STATES — Ubiquity, a provider of digital transformation and customer experience (CX), has agreed to acquire Shaip, a specialized artificial intelligence (AI) data platform company.
The acquisition significantly expands Ubiquity’s technical capabilities across the entire artificial intelligence development lifecycle, enabling the enterprise to deploy accurate and compliant AI solutions at scale.
Ubiquity expands AI lifecycle and data platform services
Shaip is known for providing end-to-end AI data services, including data collection, licensing, validation, and annotation for text, audio, images, video, and multimodal applications.
Through a combination of the best-in-market ShaipCloud platform by Shaip and a worldwide contributor network enabled by human-in-the-loop technology, Ubiquity can access uncommon and inaccessible data.
This combination enables Ubiquity to offer enhanced global delivery by combining Shaip’s specialized tools with its extensive worldwide footprint.
Matt Nyren, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ubiquity, stressed, “AI is only as powerful as the data that trains it.”
“Shaip brings a rare combination of proprietary technology, deep domain expertise, and ethically sourced, high-quality data that meaningfully advances Ubiquity’s AI strategy. Together, we will help enterprises accelerate AI adoption with greater confidence, quality, and compliance.”
The move will enable enterprise clients to accelerate AI adoption while meeting even higher expectations for quality and regulatory compliance.
Shaip will operate as a specialized AI data platform within Ubiquity after the transaction and will continue to focus on providing trusted solutions to its current customers.
Scaling ethical AI for healthcare and enterprise
One of the fundamental aspects of the acquisition is strengthening ethical principles and specializing in high-barrier industries.
Shaip provides regulated AI applications, with strengths in Healthcare AI and Conversational AI, and deep domain knowledge and access to proprietary datasets, including real-world clinical healthcare data and multilingual conversational data across over 60 languages.
This focus covers one of the most difficult issues in the field. As Hardik Parikh, Co-Founder and CRO of Shaip, notes, “Shaip was built to solve one of the hardest problems in AI – access to reliable, ethically sourced data at scale.”
“Partnering with Ubiquity gives us the operational scale and enterprise reach to extend our platform globally, while staying true to our standards for data quality, security, and compliance.”
The combination of Shaip’s operational management and CX infrastructure with Ubiquity’s operational management and CX infrastructure enables the new organization to help the most advanced AI laboratories deploy responsible AI and serve as a provider to enterprise clients.
Ubiquity ranked #91 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2026 edition of the OA500 is expected to be released in March. (Read the OA500 2026 methodology paper here.)
