UK-based BPO Woven acquires majority stake in SA Commercial

UK and South African-based technology and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company Woven Solutions Group acquired a majority stake in Cape Town-based BPO provider SA Commercial.
This investment aims to accelerate growth in South Africa’s BPO industry — particularly the Western Cap region — as it is expected to create an additional 1,000 new jobs in the province over the short term.
Woven CEO Paula Constant said she is “delighted to welcome SA Commercial to Woven’s Global Group, as we accelerate our growth and investment strategy in South Africa.”
She added, “Woven and SA Commercial has a unique proposition in the marketplace, powering personalized customer interactions with AI and automation, thanks to Woven’s proprietary software, which specializes in bespoke customer journeys.”
Meanwhile, SA Commercial Founder and CEO Renee Keeble stated, “Together, Woven and SA Commercial display dynamic, extensive leadership experience in managing FTSE-100 clients. So, it comes as no surprise that we have already forged partnerships with key clients abroad.”
As the CEO of CapeBPO, Clayton Williams called this deal “a significant milestone and win for SA Commercial and the entire BPO industry.”
He explained that SA Commercial demonstrated that local outsourcing businesses “can be a force to reckon with on a global scale.” Williams added that he is confident that this partnership will yield success in the sector.
