UK, Ukraine launch innovative TechBridge partnership

KYIV, UKRAINE — A new technology partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine aims to fortify connections and spur innovation between the two countries’ thriving tech sectors.
Dubbed the UK-Ukraine TechBridge, this collaborative platform brings together the potential of Ukraine’s information technology (IT) industry with the expertise of the UK technology sector. Its launch also marks a crucial backing for Ukraine’s IT sector as it rebuilds following Russia’s invasion.
The TechBridge focuses on several key areas, including developing trade, attracting investments, creating innovations, and implementing global IT educational programs.
It will allow Ukrainian companies to showcase products and services to potential UK partners and customers at international tech conferences. A startup acceleration program will equip Ukrainian entrepreneurs with business skills and connect them with UK-based mentors and investors.
Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Oleksandr Bornyakov noted that through TechBridge, “many large-scale joint projects will be implemented, and it will become an example of a successful mutually beneficial international partnership for other countries.”
The project also entails workshops bringing together industry experts from both countries, as well as reskilling and upskilling initiatives for Ukrainians.
The TechBridge’s launch aligns with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation on digital trade between the two countries.
Nusrat Ghani, Minister of Industry and Economic Security of Great Britain, added that the project will help lay the foundations for Ukraine’s long-term recovery.
Through fortified cooperation and exchange of knowledge and resources, the UK-Ukraine TechBridge aims to stimulate innovation, boost trade, and drive future prosperity.
