UPSTACK boosts advisory expertise with new acquisition

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Information technology firm UPSTACK has acquired Progressive Communications Management (PCM), a seasoned technology services advisory firm based in Florida.
The move integrates PCM’s expertise into UPSTACK’s expanding operations, although financial details remain undisclosed.
PCM’s co-founders, Bob Matthews and David Weisenberg, will join UPSTACK’s leadership as Partners and Managing Directors, bringing over two decades of industry experience.
Founded in 2001, PCM has cultivated a portfolio of enterprise and midmarket clients, offering comprehensive solutions from cloud infrastructure to cybersecurity.
“Bob Matthews and David Weisenberg built PCM into one of the most successful tech services advisory firms based on one simple principle—do the right thing for the customer,” said UPSTACK Founder and CEO Christopher Trapp.
Their partnership with UPSTACK answers the need for broader technological insight and support capabilities.
Specializing in various solutions, from data center services to the Internet of Things (IoT), UPSTACK is redefining digital infrastructure procurement and management, offering expert advisors and customer service resources.
Established in 2017, UPSTACK has raised around $187 million in funding over 4 rounds, including a $100 million credit facility in 2021 from MidCap Financial and Morgan Stanley Private Credit.
The company has acquired 27 organizations, five of which, including PCM, were finalized this year, based on data from Crunchbase.
