Veremark stretches Asia Pacific footprint with Employrite buy
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Background screening services firm Veremark has expanded its footprint to New Zealand and Australia with the acquisition of Employrite, a pre-employment screening company.
The deal, which was made effective on January 3, transferred Employrite’s business books and intellectual property in New Zealand and Australia to Veremark.
“Our mission remains to help the world trust faster – something we can bring to reality not only in our key markets of the UK growth sector, but also across the broader ANZ region,” said Daniel Callaghan, CEO of Veremark.
Callaghan added that “Employrite also held valued accreditations and client relationships with Australian governments and data sources,” per Staffing Industry Analysts.
Veremark, a Web 3.0 firm, will continue to operate in its core facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Singapore, India, and the Philippines.
The London-based startup offers automated solutions to firms that need to verify employee credentials such as employment history as well as academic, criminal, and credit records.
Under Veremark, Employrite clients will receive additional services such as core and regional-specific background checks, a streamlined recruiter and candidate experience, and a wider global reach.
