Visma dives into legal tech with iVISION acquisition

OSLO, NORWAY — Visma, a top software provider in Europe, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring iVISION, marking its pioneering venture into the legal tech sector.
Danish firm iVISION, known for its leading administration software Legis 365, now joins the expansive Visma Group.
“We are very excited to welcome iVISION to Visma. Leif Lindås and partners have created a healthy business with a modern and flexible solution that truly challenges the conventional systems on the market,” says Mikael Westöö, Business Area Director at Visma.
iVISION, established in 1998, has been at the forefront of providing innovative and user-friendly IT solutions, specifically designed to enhance the operational efficiency of over 300 Danish law firms.
Visma, with a revenue of €2.06 billion (US$2.2 billion) in 2022, views this acquisition as a strategic extension of its mission-critical software offerings.
The acquisition is expected to propel iVISION into a broader market, targeting not just small and medium-sized firms but also significant players within the industry and other project-oriented sectors.
Jesper Byskov, partner at iVISION, expressed enthusiasm for the new chapter. “Partnering with Visma allows us to scale our digitization solutions for law firms and fortify our existing collaborations,” said Byskov.
This strategic move expands its customer base of 1.6 million across Europe and Latin America. The company has offices in 30 countries.
