WFH flexibility favorable for IT-BPM global performance

The Work From Home (WFH) flexibility and tax incentives will maintain the Philippines’ Information Technology and Business Management (IT-BPM) industry’s competitveness, a recent report professional services firm Colliers notes..
“Sustaining the Philippines’ competitiveness in the IT-BPM landscape by accommodating flexible WFH arrangements will bode well for the country to become a strong investment destination and help the local IT-BPM industry achieve its growth targets,” Colliers’ report states.
According to the report, the government’s recognition that the flexible models of working are the way forward can help the Philippine outsourcing industry stay on par with India, Brazil, Malaysia, and the US.
The IT-BPM industry is responsible for a significant number of jobs created. The industry posted a 9.1% increase in full-time employees to 1.44 million and a 10.6% increase in revenue to $29.49 billion in 2021.
