Wipro appoints new CEO for APMEA region
Leading global information technology (IT), consulting, and business process services company Wipro recently appointed Anis Chenchah as a new member of the Wipro Executive Board and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the APMEA (Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa) region.
Chenchah brings over two decades of experience in the fields of consulting, IT, and Business Process Services.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as the Global CEO of multinational IT services and consulting provider Capgemini Business Services. He was also a part of its Group Executive Committee.
Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte said that Chenchah’s appointment is “a bold indication of our ambition for exponential growth and leadership in APMEA as we tap into its promising future.”
Delaporte added that Chenchah is “well-positioned” to drive success in Wipro’s strategic market given his “successful track record of driving high growth in diverse contexts, managing complex transformations, and building high-performance teams.”
Wipro also thanked their former APMEA CEO N.S. Bala for “not only for setting a strong foundation in place in APMEA but also for his unstinting contributions to Wipro over the past three decades.”
