Wipro overhauls business structure to strengthen AI capabilities

BENGALURU, INDIA — Wipro, one of the biggest IT services companies in India, has reshaped its Global Business Lines (GBLs) to build up its presence in artificial intelligence, cloud ,and digital transformation.
The realignment is intended to address changing client demands more effectively by providing integrated, outcome-oriented solutions that increase speed and creativity.
New organizational structure
The realignment, which will take effect on April 1, keeps four business lines:
- Technology Services: This division is headed by Nagendra Bandaru and focuses on technology solutions that are cloud-enabled and specific to industries, including digital and industry cloud, cybersecurity, AI, enterprise applications, and infrastructure services. Technology Services has also merged Wipro Enterprise Futuring and Wipro FullStride Cloud.
- Business Process Services: This segment, under the leadership of Jasjit Singh Kang, will facilitate the delivery of digital operations and business process transformation.
- Consulting Services: It will provide strategic advisory and transformation services and will be headed by Amit Kumar.
- Engineering: It will continue to provide engineering and R&D services, which will be led by Srikumar Rao.
Wipro’s subsidiary Capco will remain unchanged, and Anne-Marie Rowland will remain its leader. The head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, Jo Debecker, has left the company for other challenges.
