Woolf Partners completes acquisition of Akari Solutions

ARIZONA, UNITED STATES — Investment group Woolf Partners has acquired Glasgow-based tech company Akari Solutions Group.
With the acquisition, Akari’s capability, capacity and scale will be expanded through significant investment.
“This is a strategic investment to build upon the tremendous potential of Akari’s innovative technical talent and ideas that have already made such a positive impact,” said Stuart Fenton, Managing Partner for Woolf Partners.
A new office will be opened for Akari in London, in order to enable a closer working relationship with tech giant Microsoft. Its base in Glasgow will remain under a hybrid work setup.
Andrea Bright, formerly COO of QUANTIQ, will become CEO of Akari. Akari’s founder Margaret will also remain on the company’s board, where she will concentrate on her core communications strengths and creative passion in leading marketing. Derek Walton joins as Chief Financial Officer, while Woolf Partners Mike Lazenby and Peter Martin are non-executive board members.
