WrkPod to create over 600 BPO jobs in Central Philippines

DUMAGUETE CITY, PHILIPPINES — WrkPod, Inc., a business process outsourcing (BPO) company with over 10 years of presence in the Philippines, is set to open its newest site in Dumaguete City, creating 600 to 800 jobs by March.
The company announced during a press conference that it had signed a 15-year lease for the 4th to 8th floors and the rooftop of the Perpetual Help Community Cooperative, Inc. (PHCCI) Capital building. Located at the heart of the provincial capital, this expansion marks WrkPod’s fourth site in Negros Oriental and adds to its current locations in Cebu City and Bacolod City.
“We’re excited because it’s going to bring around 600 to 800 new jobs into Dumaguete,” said Koby Thompson, WrkPod’s co-founder and CEO. “Every job that is created impacts the life of the person who is being employed.”
Diverse career opportunities for local talent
WrkPod provides a platform that connects employers directly with skilled Filipino professionals, bypassing middlemen. The company is currently hiring for roles such as accountants, lawyers, marketing staff, entrepreneurs, and content creators.
Thompson emphasized the untapped potential of talent in Negros Oriental, which makes recruitment easier and more efficient for WrkPod’s growing operations. The new PHCCI Capital site will feature modern workspaces, high-speed internet, and training facilities to ensure employee satisfaction and productivity.
Partnership with PHCCI: A shared mission
PHCCI CEO Cliffordson Lariosa expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that WrkPod’s mission aligns with PHCCI’s goal of empowering people.
“We believe in the mission of WrkPod, which is similar to the mission of PHCCI—to help people,” Lariosa said during the press conference.
The cooperative plans to offer financial opportunities for WrkPod employees who join as members while leasing out the ground floor of the building to businesses catering to BPO staff needs, such as coffee shops and canteens.
Boosting economic growth in Negros Oriental
With over 900 employees already working across its four Negros Oriental sites, WrkPod’s expansion demonstrates its commitment to regional development. This move positions Dumaguete as an emerging hub for BPO operations in the Philippines, providing stable career opportunities for local professionals while attracting global clients.
The PHCCI Capital building’s strategic location and state-of-the-art facilities are expected to further enhance Dumaguete’s reputation as a prime destination for outsourcing services.
