KERALA, INDIA — Toronto-headquartered Xilligence has acquired Hi Tech Informatics, a Chennai-based IT infrastructure management company, marking a significant expansion in the Indian market.

While terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the deal combines two decades of expertise in software engineering with nearly three decades of infrastructure management experience.

Strategic integration and market reach

The acquisition maintains Hi Tech as a separate operational unit while leveraging synergies between both companies. Xilligence, established in 2000, brings its expertise in software engineering and cloud solutions, operating across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Hi Tech, founded in 1995, contributes its strong presence in India with 31 branches, including 23 Lenovo service centers, handling approximately 250 daily service calls in metro cities. Hi Tech brings its established relationships with major clients, including IBM, Lenovo, and various Indian public sector enterprises.

Hi Tech’s founder, Madhyamvetu Shivadas, highlighted the significance of this milestone: “When I started Hi Tech nearly thirty years ago, we focused on providing great service with quality people. I am happy that Xilligence shares the same values and will help elevate the Hi Tech brand.”

Leadership and vision

Hi Tech’s founder, Madhyamvetu Shivadas, will continue as a Director, while Santosh Menon, a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience across multiple industries, steps in as the new CEO.

Menon aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to further enrich Hi Tech’s offerings. “I look forward to working with the Hi Tech and Xilligence teams to explore new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions for our clients and partners,” Menon stated.

Vikram Nair, Xilligence’s CEO, emphasized the strategic importance of the merger: “By combining our strengths, we are uniquely positioned to offer end-to-end IT services and solutions that cover the entire technology lifecycle – from software development and testing, to infrastructure management and support.”

The combined entity offers an extensive portfolio of services, including software development, mobile applications, cloud computing, UI/UX design, and comprehensive testing services.
