ZigZag Global debuts managed SOC to elevate BPO security standards

TORONTO, CANADA — ZigZag Global, a Singapore-based global talent and managed services provider, has taken a major step in cybersecurity readiness with the launch of its new Managed Security Operations Center (SOC) services in the Philippines.
The move, dubbed as the first managed SOC for the BPO industry, is the result of a strategic partnership with Canadian cybersecurity leader Sterling Information Technologies Inc., culminating in a companywide Xcitium EDR deployment and an intensive six-month Cyber Defense+ Certification program for ZigZag’s technical workforce.
With operations spanning Australia, North America, Europe, and beyond, ZigZag Philippines serves as the group’s operational hub and now stands at the forefront of cyber-resilient business process outsourcing (BPO). The company’s Workforce+Security framework leverages Sterling-certified expertise, embedding advanced protection and compliance into every layer of service delivery.
“This initiative marks a turning point for our organization,” said Chris Adebahr, Chief Executive Officer at ZigZag Global. “Sterling’s training and mentorship helped us evolve our tech workforce into security-first thinkers. We’re proud to launch our own Managed SOC as a result and even prouder of our people who made it possible.”
Advanced cyber training and industry recognition
Sterling’s 6-month hands-on Cyber Defense+ Certification program equipped ZigZag’s SOC analysts with skills in threat intelligence, incident response, and endpoint detection and response.
The initiative has resulted in full integration of Xcitium’s ZeroDwell Containment technology, delivering robust protection against ransomware and zero-day threats—a step that sets new standards for BPO cybersecurity.
Allen Adolfo, Head of Information Technology at ZigZag Philippines, underscored the impact: “Our team is now equipped with the skills, systems, and structure to meet global cybersecurity standards and deliver trusted services to our clients.”
Global expansion and industry blueprint
Sterling’s Chief Information Security Officer Neil Cesario called the partnership “a proof-of-concept that world-class cybersecurity capability can be developed from within starting with the right training and tools.”
“We don’t just deploy software, we equip organizations to defend themselves. ZigZag’s SOC team now stands as a model for the future of cyber-resilient BPOs,” he added.
In recognition of this milestone, ZigZag and Sterling will host an August cybersecurity awareness campaign, featuring free Xcitium EDR trials, NIST 2.0 risk assessments for select clients, and interactive threat simulation webinars.
ZigZag’s new managed SOC service comes on the heels of ZigZag’s recent acquisition of Outposter, a company known for its innovative outsourcing solutions. Outposter is currently subscribed to the Source Partner program of Outsource Accelerator (OA), a powerful tool that helps BPO firms with marketing, sales, and business intelligence.
