4 BPO centers expand to Trinidad and Tobago in FY22
Four Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies expanded their operations in Trinidad and Tobago during the fiscal year (FY) 2022.
Facilitated by investment promotion agency InvesTT, these BPO firms include Teleperformance, Customer Acquisition Group, and Bill Gosling Outsourcing. iQor also established its 3rd operation in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to data from the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), InvesTT directly facilitated about TT$140.8 million of foreign direct investments (FDIs) in 2022.
Aside from BPO companies, the national promotion agency also welcomed two Chinese manufacturing firms — Summit Luggage Company and Docare Quanzhou Hygienic Product Company confirmed operations to be established at the Phoenix Park Industrial Estate.
Overall, MTI revealed that investments in Trinidad and Tobago reached $1 billion and created over 3,500 jobs for locals.
The trade ministry added that Trinidad and Tobago — through the joint effort of MTI and InvesTT — “continues to be an attractive location for foreign direct investment due to our country’s open investment climate, low business operating costs, wide-ranging market access, robust infrastructure, and talented pool of labor.”
