HANOI, VIETNAM — FPT posted revenue of VND 40,023 billion ($1.55Bn) for the first nine months of 2026, up 12.4% year on year, while profit before tax rose 17% to VND 8,770 billion ($339.5Mn). The Vietnamese group’s signed revenue from Global IT Services, its overseas technology business, grew faster still, climbing 23.1%.
Overseas IT services lead
Revenue from Global IT Services grew 11.6% to VND 28,538 billion ($1.1Bn) despite continued macroeconomic uncertainties, FPT said in a news release on Oct. 21. Signed revenue in the segment reached VND 36,137 billion ($1.4Bn).
Japan remained the primary growth market, with revenue up 17.2% year on year, or 25.2% in yen terms. FPT said it secured 16 projects worth more than $10 million each in the nine months.
AI takes a bigger share
Digital transformation revenue from overseas markets rose 16.3% to VND 14,411 billion ($557.8Mn), with a focus on AI and data analytics, cybersecurity and other digital transformation services. Revenue from AI and data analytics services jumped 55% to VND 2,915 billion ($112.8Mn).
Under its AI-First strategy, FPT is moving from traditional IT services toward consulting on, developing and deploying AI transformation solutions. In the third quarter, it became a Global Partner (Select Partner) of OpenAI.
A U.S. pilot for legacy code
FPT deployed Flezi Metis, its proprietary AI platform, for a leading global automotive technology and services group headquartered in the United States. Initial pilot results on a project of about one million lines of code showed a 50% reduction in source code search time and a 30% reduction in the time needed to complete technical tasks. Following those results, FPT is expanding the platform into banking, insurance and the public sector.
Technology carries the group
The Technology segment, made up of Global IT Services and Domestic IT Services, contributed 89% of total revenue and 58% of profit before tax. Domestic IT Services revenue grew 29.8% to VND 6,977 billion ($270.1Mn), driven by large-scale digital transformation projects for government and enterprise clients.
From 2026, FPT accounts for FPT Telecom using the equity method instead of fully consolidating it, and 2025 figures were restated for comparison. Profit after tax attributable to shareholders of the parent company rose 13.3% to VND 7,778 billion ($301.1Mn).
What it means for buyers
FPT’s Global IT Services signings grew at about twice the pace of the segment’s revenue, and its AI and data analytics revenue grew 55%. For companies sourcing software work from Vietnam, the results show artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation work growing faster than FPT’s overall revenue.
