HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM — Outposter has opened operations in Vietnam, its fourth country after Australia, the Philippines and India, extending parent company ZigZag Group’s footprint to five countries.
Why Vietnam
Outposter chose Vietnam after seeing growing demand for Vietnamese talent. Registered foreign direct investment reached $40.63 billion in the first eight months of 2026, up 55.4% year on year, Vietnam’s National Statistics Office data show. Mordor Intelligence forecasts Vietnam’s IT services market to grow from $2.63 billion in 2026 to $4.39 billion by 2031.
The country has about 1.26 million IT workers, according to Vietnam Briefing. More than 53% of this year’s university applicants, about 467,600 of 874,800, registered for STEM courses, and more than 771,000 students are studying STEM nationwide, Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training figures show.
One talent pool
The Vietnam operation runs under the Outposter brand, but its talent will be available across ZigZag Group and its clients, the company told Outsource Accelerator. ZigZag Group acquired Outposter in January 2025.
“Where you live shouldn’t decide how far you can go,” said Ben Pullen, CEO of ZigZag Group and founder of Outposter. “Vietnam has an outstanding depth of talent, and taking our culture here matters as much to us as the talent itself.”
“Vietnam’s talent is ready to compete globally, and the country is building the infrastructure to match,” said Man (Gia) Truong, country manager of Outposter Vietnam.
“The government isn’t just producing engineers, it’s investing in the ecosystem around them, from STEM enrolment nationwide to new tech corridors like Bình Dương, now part of an expanded Ho Chi Minh City. Spreading that ecosystem beyond one city center eases the pressure that comes with everything concentrating in a single hub, and opens up room for specialised tech and industrial zones to grow on their own terms. That’s exactly the kind of readiness that lets us bring international-standard careers closer to home for Vietnamese professionals.”
Companies weighing offshore outsourcing for technology or customer experience work can compare providers among the top BPO companies worldwide.
ZigZag Group has been building global teams since 2012. Across its two brands, ZigZag and Outposter, it supports more than 200 companies worldwide.
