Infosys’ internship program voted world’s best for second consecutive year

InStep, Infosys’ proprietary internship program, was once again deemed the world’s best overall internship program in this year’s Internship Rankings, an annual review conducted by Vault.com, the New York-based career intelligence consultancy. Bangalore-headquartered Infosys, a giant of the business consultancy and outsourcing world, was also ranked first in the tech and engineering, diversity, compensation and benefits, and quality of life categories, as well as coming second overall in the career development category.
Commenting on its ranking, Pravin Rao, Infosys’ chief operating officer, said being honored as the world’s best overall internship program for the second consecutive underlines the company’s commitment to providing the best and brightest upcoming talent with an exceptional learning experience. One of the company’s key initiatives, InStep gives interns the opportunity to work on a paid basis across a range of projects for multiple business units.
This sees them gaining on the job experience of a range of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, machine learning and a variety of Industry 4.0 protocols. This year, as an enhancement to the program, all participants also had direct access to a range of mentors, buddies and internship coordinators from around the world.
