Sykes Asia Inc. recognized as top workplace in Asia
Pioneer business process outsourcing firm Sykes Asia Inc. announced that it has been named one of the top workplaces in Asia in the 2019 Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Awards. The award was given to honor companies that have maintained quality levels of corporate sustainability, particularly targeted at promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Sykes said it was recognized for its different programs aimed at developing employees to help them achieve the perfect work-life balance while enabling personal growth, making it one of the best BPO firms in the Philippines. According to John Sneed, senior vice-president of area operations and shared services at Sykes Asia Inc. — and who was honored as one of Asia’s outstanding leaders in the same event — the recognition proves that the firm’s employee-focused initiatives promoting a healthy and vibrant working environment are succeeding.
Sykes leads the BPO sector in the country with nearly 18,000 employees, 4,000 of whom are based in Cebu. The ACES Awards honors successful organizations and individuals in Asia based on leadership and corporate social responsibility.
