PH moves up in talent competitiveness ranking

The Philippines is ranked 46th out of 132 countries in the 2020 Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI), rising from 58th in 2019. The report, launched by Singapore’s INSEAD Business School in partnership with Adecco Group and Google, also showed that Filipinos are achieving their best performance in terms of global knowledge and skills.
The Philippines was fourth among ASEAN countries, after Singapore (3rd), Malaysia (26th), and Brunei (38th). In terms of global knowledge skills, the Philippines is in the top quartile (32nd), where it scores well in both high-level skills (37th) and talent impact (29th). The country’s weak spots, however, were in enabling (68th) and retaining (69th) talent, improving the regulatory environment (91st) and market landscape (86th) and lifestyle (81st) indicators.
