DOLE wants to include WFH employees in A4 vaccine priority list

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is looking to include work from home (WFH) employees in the government’s A4 vaccination priority listing.
In a previous statement, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Undersecretary Rosemarie Edillon explained that the A4 cluster is composed of economic sectors that have high levels of interaction with or exposure to the public, or are needed to ensure security, consumer and worker safety.
Further, in a briefing, DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III said it’s his advocacy to include WFH employees in the A4 cluster. He added, “It does not mean that if they are working from home they no longer visit their office. They also go there but most of the time they are at home.”
Bello said it will benefit around 16,000 WFH employees in Metro Manila.
