HK to allow entry of OFWs with BOQ vax certificates

The Hong Kong government is now allowing entry to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) starting August 30 upon presentation of their Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) vaccination certificates, said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In a news release, DOLE stated that the agreement with the HK government applies to OFWs who were vaccinated in the Philippines and are waiting for deployment to a foreign country.
DOLE noted that an estimated 3,000 OFWs will benefit from this latest development.
The BOQ has now prepared a draft vaccination certificate with the passport details of the Filipino workers as requested by HK.
After entry, OFWs will undergo quarantine in specified hotels with the cost paid by their employers.
