Accenture secures position as the top IT vendor for US DLA

Multinational outsourcing company Accenture was named the leading IT vendor for the US Defense Logistics Agency (US DLA) with five contracts worth US$577.50 million, according to GlobalData’s Contracts database.
GlobalData’s information shows that Accenture offered several services to the US DLA including application development, integration, maintenance, support, management, and systems integration.
Out of 84 competing service providers, Science Applications International secured second place with two IT contracts worth US$406 million. It was followed by SupplyCore with one contract valued at US$157.50 million, CACI International with three contracts worth US$109.60 million, and Serco Group with one contract worth US$101 million.
The overall contracts secured with US DLA were divided into five sections, with application outsourcing solutions accounting for 53.37% of the deals.
Infrastructure outsourcing amounts to 17.86% of contracts signed followed by business process outsourcing with 13.10%, systems integration with 9.52%, and consulting with 5.95%.
In addition, 89% of all IT contracts made by the American agency were of the fixed type as of July 2021, while 9% were of the IDIQ type. All of the partnership deals made were based in the US.
