Apple requires US employees to report vaccination status

Apple is requiring all of its employees in the United States to report their vaccination status by September 17 whether they are working remotely or from the office, according to a new report from Bloomberg.
In a memo, the tech giant stated that employees should “voluntarily” report their status so that the company can use the data to update its COVID-19 protocols.
The company’s management added that their “primary focus remains [in] keeping our team members, their friends and families, and our entire community healthy.”
Bloomberg also reported that while the US firm promises to keep their workers’ data “confidential and secure,” Apple also has the option to use it in an “identifiable manner” to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for their staff.
Despite this new move from Apple, the company has not yet released a vaccine mandate to all of its employees.
