BPO demand drives the sector’s resilience

The current demand for high-value services in the Information Technology-Business Process Management (IT-BPM) sector drives the industry’s resilience, said RL Commercial REIT Inc. (RCR) President and CEO Jericho Go.
Go stated that the stability and resiliency of the outsourcing industry help the Philippines recover from the economic challenges brought on by the pandemic.
In a statement, the RCR president said that “in good times and in bad, the most logical thing to do for companies in developed economies is to outsource.”
The Philippines also continues to develop services as a BPO destination.
What started as a call center operation evolved into “data analytics, healthcare services, financial services, software development, business process management, creative process outsourcing such as CAD engineering design, web, and game development,” stated Go.
The top talents in the Philippines who are highly proficient in English are also the preferred BPO workers by global companies, surpassing India and other BPO destinations in the world.
