TCS revenue reached $6.5bn, LatAm operations rose by 21%

Multinational IT services and consulting company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported consolidated revenue of US$6.5 billion for the fiscal quarter ending December 31, 2021, as the firm’s Latin American operations grew by 21%.
Due to the huge demand for digital transformation services around the globe, TCS’ quarterly profit also exceeded $1.3 billion.
Among the services verticals, cloud computing experienced unprecedented growth, followed by cyber security. Considering the growth numbers, TCS is winning contracts from many LatAm multinationals.
In a press release, TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan said that “customers love our engagement model, our end-to-end capability, and our can-do approach to problem-solving.”
TCS has significant operations in many LatAm countries, including Brazil and Mexico, and has recently expanded in Guatemala.
Additionally, the tech firm welcomed 28,238 new recruits, taking its total global headcount to more than 550,000.
Female professionals are also on the rise within the company, accounting for almost 40% of its employees. The number of female executives also increased by 68% between 2016 and 2021.
