itel begins US expansion

Jamaica-based Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider itel is expanding its operations in 20 states across the United States and Latin America through remote work model.
The company is currently in the process of recruiting work-from-home staff to meet growing client needs in the region and fill the employment gaps in American companies.
In an interview with Jamaica Observer, itel CEO Yoni Epstein said that their work-from-home model gives them the ability to “recruit without limitations of borders which open greater access to a wider talent pool.”
Currently, itel only has one physical site in the US in Jeffersonville, Indiana. However, the company has had work-at-home operations in the country since 2017.
Epstein added that the majority of theory growth in new business clients is happening in their Indiana facility.
Last August 2021, itel raised US$5 million via an issue of cumulative preference shares via broker Portland JSX and acquired outsourcing firm Emerge.
Itel stated that its acquisitions are aimed at widening its expansive geographic footprint across the Caribbean, Latin America, and North America.
