Sri Lanka to introduce innovative IT solutions in PH

Sri Lanka-based ICT enterprises — including FBC Asia Pacific, hSenid Group, Tech One Global, and Bileeta, among others — are working with public and private sectors in the Philippines to introduce innovative IT solutions.
According to Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Philippines Shobini Gunasekera, these solutions include software development, finance, e-commerce, Business Process Management (BPM), and other sectors.
Gunasekera noted how Sri Lankan ICT companies are making waves in the Philippines, growing by 20% even during the pandemic.
“We are very pleased that IT companies are coming here to the Philippines to introduce their innovative solutions and services. It allows Sri Lanka and the Philippines to explore synergies where our industries can work together on a complementary basis,” the ambassador remarked.
Currently experiencing domestic political and economic turmoil, Sri Lanka is banking on the success of tea and ICT export industries, which are making headway into the local market.
Sri Lanka has a highly-developed ICT sector with 500+ companies generating $1.5 billion in export revenue in 2020 and is projected to prosper into a $5-billion industry in 2025.
