Atento’s carbon footprint down by 6.6% in 2021

Atento, one of the world’s biggest outsourcing providers, announced that they have reduced its carbon footprint by 6.6% last year, equating to 19 kilograms less of CO2 per employee.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the company started calculating its Carbon footprint in 2020. Last year, Atento formed an innovative ESG corporate strategy to attain its environment-friendly goals.
According to Atento, last year’s carbon footprint reduction was achieved by implementing stringent measures — including the Work From Home Atento (WAHA) program for more than 40% of its workforce.
Innovation and technology also played a big role in the success of the use of cloud migration and the use of cloud-native solutions, which reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
Atento CEO Carlos Lopez-Abadia said, “All the progress and objectives we achieved this year would not have been possible without the help of the entire Atento Community.” said.
Atento’s CEO was also grateful for the recognition that they’ve received and vowed to continue its efforts to grow together to keep reaching their ESG goals both at the company level and as a community.
