ITIDA to help 21 Egypt-based BPO firms expand to EU

Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is set to help 21 local IT companies expand to Europe through the agency’s CBI’s Export Coaching Program.
Aimed primarily at supporting small and medium enterprises in the IT outsourcing sector, the program also helps fulfill the growing demand for ICT professionals in Europe.
The CBI’s Export Coaching Programme offers technical assistance through practical business export coaching targets developing the exports of innovative IT products and services such as software and mobile applications.
The program comes within the framework of an agreement between the CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries) and ITIDA. It is also in collaboration with the Chamber of Information Technology and Communications (CIT), Eitesal Association, and Nile University (NU).
The duration of the program extends to three years, during which global and local experts will coach and assist beneficiary SMEs in devising market entry strategies that will help them expand into the EU.
According to a report by Daily News Egypt, this program is a perfect fit for EU nations as Egypt offers the largest and youngest multilingual talent pool in the Middle East and the second largest in the EMEA region.
