India-based Optum opens new HQ in Makati

India-based digital health technology firm Optum Global Solutions opened its new headquarters in Makati City as part of its expansion in the Philippines.
According to the firm’s local unit Optum Global Solutions (Philippines) Inc., the new office is set to provide for the company’s fast-growing workforce, which numbers more than 21,000 employees to date.
Optum Global Solutions (Philippines) Inc. Managing Director Ivic Mueco added that their new HQ will provide Filipino employees a “bigger and better space to expand their knowledge and nurture their talents.”
“This way, we are able to provide the best care for our clients while opening up more growth opportunities for our employees,” she noted.
In a press release, Optum revealed that their new Makati office features a wellness area with full-body massage chairs that employees can use to destress and relax in between work. The facility also boasts a karaoke room, nursing rooms, breakout areas, and coworking spaces.
As for further expansions in the country, Optum said that they are planning to open more branches in the Philippines and welcome new talents over the coming months.
“We look forward to what’s in store for us in the next decade. The new space is just the beginning of more sites being opened to accommodate our growing team,” Mueco said.
