Converge to reach Boracay by the end of Q1

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Telecommunications company Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions will launch its services in Boracay by the end of the first quarter of 2023.
According to Converge Chief Operations Officer Jesus Romero, they have been working hard to expand the firm’s fiber footprint in the Philippines to reach “unserved and underserved” locations.
Romero added that they hope to make Boracay “the absolute paradise that it already is by providing consistent seamless connectivity on the island.”
The company stated they aim to provide connectivity to the island’s hospitality industry to increase profit and bring summer loyalty.
“One of the foremost needs of the modern traveler is having a stable and fast internet connection, while businesses require a reliable and better partner in connectivity. We are confident that our products and services will cater to these needs in Boracay,” said Converge Regional General Manager Mike Maquiran.
Converge is also eyeing to service free-spirited island-hopping entrepreneurs who work remotely in hotels, cafes, co-working spaces, and temporary housing.
