FPT acquires Intertec’s IT services unit
HANOI, VIETNAM — Vietnam-based tech services provider FPT Software announced its acquisition of the IT services division of United States firm Intertec International for an undisclosed amount.
The move follows its initial investment to Intertec in 2021 and aims to further strengthen FPT Software’s North American nearshore delivery capabilities.
The investment also adds 300 employees to FPT’s 27,000-strong workforce across 29 countries.
With over US$803 million in revenue, FPT Software offers services in digital platforms, Cloud, BPO, and more. A hundred of its clients are among Fortune Global 500 companies in automotive, banking and finance, and logistics and transportation, among others.
The Vietnamese company will continue to leverage Intertec’s delivery centers and operational experience in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Mexico.
Intertec International is an information technology (IT) company headquartered in Arizona and has offices across the U.S., UK, and Nearshore Technology Centers in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Mexico.
“Each M&A deal bears good fruit to FPT. We expect this acquisition to resonate greatly with FPT’s goal of expanding business operations globally, especially in the English-speaking markets,” said FPT Corporation Chairman Truong Gia Binh.
