Teleperformance to add 5K employees in Guyana

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA — Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm Teleperformance plans to hire 5,000 more employees in Guyana as part of its expansion initiative.
Teleperformance Country Manager Luis Barreton said he dreams of making the firm Guyana’s top certified and best employment company.
“We still have a very big social commitment to be able to provide high-quality jobs, both in Georgetown as well as outside of Georgetown,” he added.
Barreton made the announcement during the opening of Teleperformance’s second location in Guyana, which will cater to an additional 1,000 persons.
Teleperformance CEO for the Middle Americas Region, Andres Bernal, also noted the company would continue to allow more persons to work from the convenience of their homes.
Meanwhile, President Irfaan Ali announced that the government would build call center shells in various regions while working closely with existing call center companies to employ more people in the industry.
