Decipher Health Records to open new call center in Guyana

BENGALURU, INDIA — India-based Decipher Health Records has announced its plans to set up a new call center in Guyana, South America.
This strategic move is expected to generate at least 300 jobs once it becomes fully operational this year, according to Guyana Office for Investment (GO Invest), which recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Decipher Health Records.
“This signing is an indication of the Government of Guyana initiatives to create employment throughout the country and facilitate the rapid expansion of economic activities countrywide to boost the economy and support the diversification of the non-oil sector,” stated Peter Ramsaroop, Head of GO Invest.
Ramsaroop stressed that the government of Guyana considers the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) sector among its priorities, citing the country’s advantageous proximity to the Americas, favorable time zone, and educated young population.
Decipher Health Records offers offshore back-office services such as real-time scribing, revenue cycle management services, and allied transcription services to medical doctors based in the United States of America.
Guyana has set a target of maintaining 15,000 BPO jobs by 2025. In 2022, Guyana reported approximately 7,000 BPO seats.
