Accenture to acquire Anser Advisory

NEW YORK & CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing powerhouse Accenture intends to acquire Anser Advisory, an advisory and management company specializing in infrastructure projects across the United States.
This acquisition marks a significant step for Accenture as it prepares to better assist private companies and public sector organizations in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects more efficiently. The move expands Accenture’s capital project services, penetrating an estimated $88 billion addressable market in North America.
Anser Advisory, renowned for its hands-on strategy expertise, significantly reduces the risks and impacts of project delays and cost overruns on large-scale critical infrastructure projects. Their comprehensive services encompass advisory, compliance, and management, facilitating clients with project structure, estimation, planning, monitoring, and execution.
In light of the expected non-residential spending rise to $1.033 trillion in the U.S. in 2023, Aaron Saint, North America lead for Accenture Industry X, expresses the timely significance of the acquisition, stating it will “reinvent how people do their work, the processes they execute, and the technologies they use to deliver mission-critical projects on time and on budget.”
Jimmy Etheredge, CEO of Accenture North America, asserted that the merger positions Accenture as a key player in North America’s sustainable infrastructure modernization efforts.
Upon completion, Accenture will acquire the Anser Advisory brand and its approximately 920 employees, while the 280-person subsidiary, Markon Solutions, will remain with Sterling Investment Partners and Markon Solutions management.
This latest acquisition aligns with Accenture’s recent purchases to amplify its capabilities for asset-intensive industries. These acquisitions include Eclipse Automation, umlaut, and Advoco.
