Teleperformance to hire 60K more employees in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA — Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) giant Teleperformance announced plans to expand its Indian workforce by 60,000 in the next two years.
This increase will elevate their total employee count from its current count of 90,000 to 150,000. The company also intends to bolster its operations by opening new centers in Noida, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.
Teleperformance India CEO Anish Mukker praised the country’s talent pool for high-end non-voice work, asserting it is a strategic talent center for the company’s operations.
The company’s main focus areas in India include the BFSI, travel and hospitality, healthcare, and government sectors, where it aims to enhance customer service and citizen engagement.
In terms of growth, Teleperformance relies heavily on strategic acquisitions. The recent purchase of Majorel for 3 billion euros marked a milestone in geographic and capability expansion, sculpting a digital business titan with a firm foothold across global markets.
Speaking on future strategy, Mukker highlighted the importance of AI, with plans to harness it through partnerships rather than acquisitions.
He indicated that this approach is increasingly favored in the industry, as seen with Accenture and others.
This ambitious recruitment drive reflects Teleperformance’s confidence in India’s talent and signifies a significant uplift in the business process outsourcing sector.
