SBI Life introduces 24/7 insurance contact center

MUMBAI, INDIA — Private life insurance provider SBI Life Insurance recently launched a 24×7 contact center, becoming India’s first private life insurer to offer continuous customer service.
Customers can now access insurance assistance any day of the year via the firm’s toll-free number.
During the launch, SBI Life Insurance Managing Director and CEO Mahesh Kumar Sharma said their contact centers will allow the firm “to stay connected with customers across the country, providing real-time solutions to queries related to their policies or the array of insurance solutions, at their convenience.”
“This initiative is a testament to our unwavering dedication of placing our customers at the heart of everything we do,” he added.
Equipped to handle roughly 1.3 million calls annually and supported by an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) with 13 self-service options, this move showcases SBI Life’s ambition to set higher service benchmarks in the insurance industry.
